:: Chris Riedel, DDS

Born and raised in Orange, Dr. Riedel moved home in 2007 after practicing in suburban Austin and Houston. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with his Biology degree before attending the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Southeast Texas Dental Society.

To bring the highest quality of dentistry to his patients, Dr. Riedel has traveled across the country to learn current and successful treatment options. Dr. Riedel believes firmly that the science of dentistry is improving everyday and that his patients deserve the very best his field has to offer.

Dr. Riedel’s wife Micca is a Nurse Practitioner and together they have two daughters. The girls keep them pretty busy but he manages a few hobbies. Dr. Riedel is an avid runner and a terrible golfer (although he continues to play). And of course, he is a die-hard lover of all things UT. Dr. Riedel will continue to love his Longhorns through good times and bad.

:: Megan – Dental Assistant

Megan is a graduate of the Lamar State College – Orange Dental Assisting program and has been with Horizon Dental since 2008. Her past experience includes specialty training in Pediatrics, but in our office is known for forming great relationships with all her patients.

She enjoys spending time with her family.

:: Jessica – Dental Hygienist

After Vidor High School, Jessica graduated from Lamar Institute of Technology in 2005. Horizon Dental has been lucky enough to have her for her whole career. She really enjoys dental hygiene and loves interacting with all of her patients.

She and her husband are very active in their church, enjoy being with their family, and love watching Longhorn football.

:: Lanie – Dental Hygienist

Lanie, one of our caring hygienists, is a product of Bridge City, but now lives in Little Cypress. She completed her Dental Hygiene degree in 1999 from Lamar Institute of Technology and has been with Horizon Dental since 2003. An avid outdoor lover, Lanie enjoys camping, ATV riding, campfires, and riding the Harley with her husband. She enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, and she is also a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns.

:: Shay – Dental Hygienist

A graduate of Orangefield High School and Lamar Institute of Technology, Shay has been at Horizon Dental for over ten years. She is dedicated to her patients and loves to promote good oral health through the highest standard of care. She and her husband are kept busy by their two children.

Shay is a fan of Lamar University football and, of course, any team her son is playing for.

:: Melissa – Dental Assistant

Melissa came to Horizon Dental with ten years prior experience in dentistry, and quickly became the Invisalign authority in our office. Her knowledge of treatments and procedures, as well as her personality, make her a favorite to her patients.

She and her husband live in Little Cypress with their three children. She enjoys reading and spending time with family.

:: Hollie – Dental Assistant

Hollie was born and raised in Orange and graduated from West Orange-Stark in 2008. After completing the dental assisting program at Texas Careers in 2009, she secured a position in a high-technology office where she received much of her training in implants, cosmetics, and orthodontics. Hollie is an authority on Invisalign orthodontics and can answer all your questions.

Hollie loves her pit bull and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends.

:: Tami – Dental Assistant

As a lifelong resident of Orangefield, Tami graduated from Lamar State College Orange- Dental Assisting Program with Cum Laude Honors. Her rewarding career choice of dental assisting was fulfilled when becoming part of the team at Horizon Dental. She is hard working with a positive attitude, shows passion towards others, and enjoys getting to know each and every one of her patients.

Whether its fishing, hunting, riding ATVs or just sitting around a fire with family and friends, Tami and her family love spending majority of their time outdoors.

:: Susan – Hygiene Coordinator

Susan has been in dentistry for over 20 years. She was born and raised in Orange and knows the community very well. She loves to get to know our patients, which makes her a great Hygiene Coordinator.

Besides playing the piano and writing poetry, Susan loves to travel. She enjoys spending time with her whole family, but especially her six granddaughters.

:: Brittany – Patient Care Coordinator

Brittany is a graduate from Bridge City High School and Lamar Institute of Technology. She is well-experienced in insurance utilization and acts as our liaison to your insurance company.

She loves sports, especially Houston Rockets basketball. She is a fitness competitor and loves working out. She is probably one of the top 10 funniest people ever. She gets along great with others and is definitely a people person. She enjoys spending time with her partner and family.
